The Warpage of Corrugating Machine Paperboard and Its Solution
Single-sided corrugated machine is the heart of corrugated board production line. How to ensure that single-sided corrugated board meets the quality requirements has been widely concerned. The warpage of cardboard is a main problem in the production of single-sided corrugator.
Corrugated cardboard warping is a very headache problem, which seriously affects the quality of the next printing and cutting process. Because of cardboard warping, it can not be accurately positioned when entering the printing slotting machine, resulting in inaccurate overprinting, inconsistent depth of slotting and cutting angle position, and can not be fine-tuned, and sometimes make the cardboard surface crease. The reason for warping of single-sided corrugated cardboard is simple, that is, the moisture content of inner and (core) tile base paper is not uniform or the thickness is not uniform. Of course, to prevent cardboard warping, we must have a definition of warping. The author's understanding of the meaning of "warping" is that one-sided (see pit) cardboard is determined by corrugation as the top, and the arc is bent downward (bent inward) and both ends are warped upward, which is regarded as warping upward. On the contrary, it is regarded as downwarping.
If one-sided (see pit) cardboard is warped upward, the reason is that the moisture content of corrugated base paper is greater than that of inner core paper. If it warps down, the reason is that the moisture content of corrugated base paper is less than that of lining paper or lining paper is higher than that of corrugated base paper. After determining the cause of cardboard warping, we must solve the problem separately according to the direction of cardboard warping. When the single side (pit) cardboard of one-sided corrugater is warped upward, the heat source of corrugated paper preheating roll on one-sided corrugater can be opened, and one or two inner paper preheating rolls can be closed at the same time, so as to reduce the vehicle speed correspondingly, while warping still exists, the heat source of corrugated paper preheating roll (increase the electric heating pipe, increase the air pressure, etc.) or the wrapping angle of corrugated paper on the preheating roll should be increased (increase the tensioning axis or adjust the position of the tensioning axis). When the warpage is still present, spray and humidification should be applied to the inside paper. Make the moisture content of the inner paper close to that of the corrugated base paper.
When the single side (pit) cardboard of the single-side corrugater is warping down, the heat source of the corrugated paper preheating roll on the single-side corrugater should be closed, and one or two heat sources of the inner paper preheating roll should be opened at the same time, so as to increase the speed of the vehicle without degumming. When warping is needed, it is necessary to increase the heat source of the preheating roller or increase the wrapping angle on the heating roller, while when warping, it is necessary to adopt the spray humidification method for the corrugating medium, so that the moisture content of the tile paper is nearly the same as that of the inner paper. One side cardboard S type warpage is usually caused by uneven distribution of moisture content of base paper. Spray and humidification treatment can be carried out according to the warping condition according to the warping reasons and the local base paper with too low moisture content. It is better to measure the moisture content of inner (core) and tile paper respectively by water content tester before starting, and then control the temperature of each roller according to different moisture content. Generally speaking, when the cardboard is off the machine, keep it slightly upward warping (tile paper), and adopt the positive and negative stacking method. After about an hour, the cardboard will completely return to the level state.
